His background includes extensive experience in operational planning, risk management, and team leadership, forming the foundation for Task Force Protection’s disciplined and structured approach to security services.

Throughout his career, Steven has demonstrated a strong commitment to preparedness, accountability, and professional standards. His leadership philosophy emphasizes proactive security strategies, thorough officer screening, and continuous training to ensure personnel are equipped to respond effectively in real-world environments. Under his direction, Task Force Protection has implemented operational systems designed to exceed regulatory requirements while maintaining consistency and reliability across all assignments.

As President and CEO, Steven oversees strategic direction, operational integrity, and long-term growth of the organization. His hands-on leadership and dedication to ethical security practices have positioned Task Force Protection as a trusted partner for clients seeking dependable, professionally managed security solutions. In 2025, Steven’s professional reputation and demonstrated leadership were recognized at the highest levels of the State of North Carolina when Governor Josh Stein formally considered him for appointment to the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board as a Board Member—a distinction that reflects both his commitment to the industry and the confidence placed in him by the Governor’s administration.

Erica R. Allen

Erica R. Allen brings a strong operational mindset and leadership-focused approach to her role as Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at Task Force Protection. With extensive experience in security operations, compliance oversight, and organizational management, she plays a key role in ensuring the company’s daily operations meet the highest professional and regulatory standards.

Erica is deeply involved in workforce management, officer supervision, and operational coordination across multiple service areas. Her leadership emphasizes structure, clear communication, and accountability—ensuring officers are properly trained, supported, and aligned with client expectations. She is instrumental in maintaining consistency across patrol operations, dedicated assignments, and client-specific security plans.

As COO, Erica oversees internal operations, process improvement, and quality assurance initiatives that support Task Force Protection’s mission. Her commitment to professionalism and operational excellence strengthens the organization’s ability to deliver reliable, responsive, and client-focused security services. Regional Field Manager · Southeastern North Carolina

Nazir McKoy

Nazir McKoy serves as the Regional Field Manager for Southeastern North Carolina, overseeing day-to-day field operations and ensuring the consistent delivery of professional security services across assigned sites. In this role, he works closely with site supervisors and field officers to maintain operational readiness, compliance with company standards, and a visible, proactive security presence for clients.

With a strong background in security operations and field leadership, Nazir brings a hands-on management approach focused on accountability, communication, and performance. He is responsible for officer supervision, post inspections, scheduling coordination, and ensuring that client-specific security plans are properly executed. His leadership helps bridge the gap between executive direction and on-the-ground operations.

Nazir is committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism within the field. Through consistent oversight, mentorship, and attention to detail, he supports Task Force Protection’s mission of protecting people and property while fostering trust with clients, officers, and community partners throughout Southeastern North Carolina.
John M. SimonsSouth Carolina

Director of Operations · South Carolina

John M. Simons

John M. Simons serves as the Director of Operations for South Carolina, bringing decades of experience in security leadership, operational planning, and field supervision. His background includes managing complex security environments and overseeing large teams in high-responsibility roles, making him a critical leader within Task Force Protection’s operational structure.

John is responsible for directing field operations, implementing patrol strategies, and ensuring operational readiness across all assignments. He works closely with supervisory staff to enforce standards, evaluate performance, and maintain compliance with state regulations and internal policies. His approach prioritizes preparedness, situational awareness, and disciplined execution in both routine and high-risk scenarios.

In his leadership role, John focuses on building strong operational systems that support officer effectiveness and client confidence. His hands-on experience and commitment to continuous improvement help ensure Task Force Protection delivers dependable, professional security services. John’s leadership reinforces the company’s mission to protect people, property, and assets through proactive and well-managed operations.

Jeremy Adams, Esq.

Jeremy Adams serves as General Corporate Counsel for Task Force Protection, providing comprehensive legal guidance on corporate governance, compliance, employment law, and risk management. His expertise ensures that Task Force Protection operates with full adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal laws while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity within the private security industry.

As a founding member of B.A. Folk, PLLC, Jeremy brings extensive experience in civil litigation, employment, education, and civil rights law. A seasoned trial attorney and certified Superior Court mediator, he is known for his ability to navigate complex legal challenges and craft practical solutions that protect organizational interests and strengthen operational accountability.

Jeremy’s diverse background includes representing both private entities and individuals in high-stakes cases involving due process, discrimination, and compliance with state and federal regulatory frameworks. His legal insight plays a key role in supporting Task Force Protection’s mission to deliver professional, ethical, and legally sound security services.

In addition to his practice, Jeremy has taught civil procedure, agency and partnership, and legal writing at North Carolina Central University School of Law and volunteers with the North Carolina State Bar’s Lawyer Assistance Program.
